The Boss Order
Bosses gate progression. Beat them in this order and every new island stays at the right difficulty.
Spider Crab
The first real boss. Buy the Knife before engaging. Get close while it is stunned and slash it - close-range stuns reset a safe window, so 4-6 slashes then back off works cleanly. Slightly further range takes about four hits per window. Hand in the trophy (not meat) to open the next island.
Pufferfish
The pufferfish is fast and spits venom, and players complain it hits harder than any souls boss without an armor option.
